From a region that is agricultural in nature the closure of this factory hasd been a death blow for others that supply products such as fruit , packaging material and transport The closure of this site has reulted in 200 people losing their source of income directly whilst the flow on effects have resulted in over 1000 employees in the region also losing there source of lively hood. In the month of closing National foods annouced this site had recieved a company award for the best financial run factoryin Australia. One wonders what the other factories in the National Foods group are like if the winner is a factory that has been terminated.. This overall has been a kick in the guts as a local trucking firm is also placed in Administration due to National Foods hasty decision to cut and run.
